Isabel dos Santos Empowers Women In Her Home Country Through Small Business

Isabel dos Santos has become the richest woman in Africa and the ninth richest individual overall through her business acumen in making profitable decisions in the investing world. Ms. dos Santos also held a position as chairwoman of a Sonangal oil company. Isabel has flourished in a traditional male business role despite those compatriots in business who were under the impression that she ran all of her decisions past her male counterparts or that she had a husband’s coaching before stepping into her business decisions for the day (Facebook).

For example Ms. dos Santos helped 120 women in the village of Humpata, part of the region of Huila create a permanent strawberry field for sustained employment and economic stability. These ladies have become owners of the strawberry field and their futures.
