Hussain Sajwani’s DAMAC Properties Has An Eye For Luxury

In 2002, Hussain Sajwani launched his luxury residential and commercial real estate developer, DAMAC Properties.

After the Dubai government had issued a decree to allow foreigners to purchase properties in the emirate, Hussain Sajwani had seen the perfect opportunity to create his future real estate empire after noticing an upsurge of non-emirates coming to dwell in Dubai.

DAMAC Properties had developed their very first residential building after purchasing a large lot on an underdeveloped part of the city. The non-emirate newcomers were his company’s main consumers and the 38-story apartment building he had developed became his first success.

DAMAC Properties had partnered with Donald Trump before his presidency, to help him develop the Trump International Golf Club that opened in February 2017. The Trump-branded golf course was built on the grounds of DAMAC’s Akoya luxurious residential property in Dubai.

Other major projects developed by DAMAC Properties were the Paramount Hotels and Resorts, luxury apartments with interiors designed by Italian fashion designers Fendi and Versace, luxury villas styled by the major luxury car brand Bugatti and the Trump-branded golf course designed by professional golfer Tiger Woods. DAMAC have won the “Property of the Year” award from the 2017 CEO Middle East Awards.
